Teaming

KLD Associates is open to forming partnerships with other organizations, to complement its own offerings and bring increased benefits to its customers. Partnerships can take the form of KLD as subcontractor or KLD as prime. At this time, joint ventures are not a priority.
KLD is guided by certain principles when it pursues work as part of larger teams:

  1. Generally, it is not in our interest to restrict ourselves in an exclusive arrangement with a prime and may consider being on more than one team for the same solicitation. But we will not preclude an exclusive teaming arrangement, when it is mutually attractive.
  2. At the same time, KLD will generally not appear as a subconsultant on all teams that pursue a specific contract. We prefer to build relationships for the longer term, with a limited number of partners.
  3. The most comfortable arrangement is one in which KLD
    • perceives that is a true team member, and not just a listed subconsultant for credentialing in the competition.
    • has reasonable direct access to the client, particularly in “on call” arrangements, because much of the work it has done has been that which the client prefers to build on our past achievements.
    • has a good understanding — and confidence — that real work will result from the arrangement, contributing to KLD’s stability and growth.
